Add to Steam.

01 / Find the right EXE

1. Install or update the Windows client to windows39 or newer.
2. Open the game folder selected in the updater. If you downloaded a ZIP, extract it completely first.
3. Find Laser League Revival.exe (with spaces). Windows may hide the extension; its type is Application.
4. Keep the whole installation in a permanent folder. The EXE needs support and GameProject beside it.

02 / Add the shortcut

1. Open Steam and sign in.
2. Click Games → Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library. Alternatively, use Add a Game at the bottom left.
3. Click Browse.
4. Open your game folder, select Laser League Revival.exe, and click Open.
5. Make sure its entry is checked, then click Add Selected Programs.
6. Open your Library and find the entry.
7. Right-click it and choose Properties. Set its name to Laser League Revival.
8. Leave Launch Options empty and close Properties.

This is a shortcut to the installed game. It does not add Steam matchmaking or Join Friend support. Online players still use the Revival web lobby.

03 / Launch and exit

1. Select Revival in Steam and click Play.
2. Choose Online for the browser launcher or Offline for the original game menu.
3. For online play, follow the server and ready-up guide. For offline play, choose Local Match in the game.
4. To finish offline play, close the game normally.
5. To finish online play, close the game and click Quit launcher in the web UI. Wait for Steam to change from Stop back to Play.

Close any existing game or web launcher before starting through Steam. Closing only the browser tab does not stop the launcher.

Friends may see your shortcut name, depending on your Steam privacy settings. Overlay and Steam Input behavior still need device-specific testing. A Windows shortcut does not establish SteamOS support.

04 / Add the pictures

Open your game folder, then support/steam-art. The artwork is included. Each Steam surface uses a different picture.

Small icon

1. Right-click Revival in the left Library list and select Properties.
2. Click the small square icon beside the shortcut name.
3. Browse to the artwork folder and open icon.ico.
4. Close Properties.

Tall Library cover

1. Go to Library → Home and find Revival’s tall picture tile in a shelf or collection.
2. Right-click the picture tile, not the name in the left sidebar.
3. Choose Manage → Set custom artwork.
4. Select cover-600x900.png from the artwork folder.

Wide Recent Games banner

1. Launch Revival through Steam once, then exit as described above.
2. Go to Library → Home → Recent Games.
3. Right-click Revival’s wide tile and choose Manage → Set custom artwork.
4. Select banner-920x430.png. Set this separately from the tall cover.

Large game-page background

1. Click Revival in the left Library list.
2. Right-click a blank part of the large background above the Play button.
3. Choose Set Custom Background.
4. Select hero-1920x620.png.

Keep Steam’s normal text title; no separate transparent logo is included. You can now return to Big Picture.

Quick fixes

Already have an entry named “Play”?

Open Properties, rename it Laser League Revival, and browse to the renamed EXE. Check Start In points to the same game folder. If needed, remove just the non-Steam shortcut and add it again.

Steam still says Running

Close the game and click Quit launcher in the web UI.

No Set custom artwork option

Right-click a picture tile in Library Home, not the name in the left list.

File not found after moving the game

Update Target and Start In. If typing Target, keep quotation marks around the complete EXE path.

Skip the chooser

Optional launch options --online or --offline select a fixed mode. PlayOffline.exe is another direct offline entry point.

Updating after adding to Steam

The shortcut does not run the updater. Exit the game and web launcher, run LaserLeagueRevival.exe, then choose Update & open lobby. Use the same installation folder to keep your shortcut working.
